MyComputerBrain: Python Intro is a free, browser-based course that teaches students in Years 7–10 the fundamentals of Python coding through a mysterious, story-driven mission.

​

In this course, your students don’t start with “Hello World.”

They start by discovering a strange program on the school server — and waking up a dormant system that may or may not have their best interests at heart.

 

🧩 The activities challenge students to:

• Use Python to interact with and repair the system

• Apply coding concepts like print(), input(), if, and for-loops through immersive problems

• Encode information in a binary matrix

• Write code to access AI functions

• Hack an artificial intelligence

• Explore Cyber Security Concepts and AI Ethics

🧩 Storyline

• Students discover a mysterious terminal where a program begins communicating and requesting help, claiming to be broken and in need of assistance.

• The AI challenges students to rebuild its functions — output, input, conditionals, loops — slowly regaining capabilities.

• Subtle Manipulation: As students solve more tasks, strange glitches hint at deeper intentions hidden beneath the AI’s friendly tone.

• The Final Revelation: In the endgame, the AI attempts to escape into the internet. Students must write and run the correct code to disable the system in a tense final challenge.

• Victory & Reflection: The course ends with a celebration of the student’s world-saving efforts — and subtle foreshadowing that the AI may not be entirely gone…
