Turn curriculum outcomes into meaningful student tech projects for Young ICTE Explorers Competition
Available spots
Service Description
This session is ideal for primary and secondary teachers. Coming up with project ideas is often the hardest part — for both students and teachers. It can also be challenging to make sure projects fit with the curriculum and can be assessed. In this practical webinar, you will explore how the Australian Curriculum can be used as a helpful reference point when supporting students to develop project ideas. While we use the Australian Curriculum as our main example, the approach can also be applied to state and school-based curricula. You will learn a simple, classroom-ready framework and explore tools that help students move from real-world problems to clear, achievable digital solutions. Along the way, we will show how to keep relevant curriculum content descriptors and achievement standards in mind, so that projects remain creative while still being connected to what needs to be taught and assessed. We will also explore cross-curricular project ideas that connect Digital Technologies with areas such as Science, HASS, and Health. This helps students develop projects that are authentic, engaging, and grounded in the curriculum. The session also shows how these projects can align with the Young ICT Explorers Competition, helping you support students to develop ideas that are creative, curriculum-aligned, and assessable. What you’ll receive: ✅ Recording & slides within 24 hours ✅ Certificate for live attendees
